I'm postponing this blog while I'm working on the wedding blog. Since school will be starting back in a week, it'll be easier to keep everything with one blog. See you shortly after the wedding (close to 10 months).

Couch 2 5K
Today was my first day at trying this. One of the girls on the North Carolina board mentioned this; I had never heard of it before. I was starting my new workout routine today anyway, so I thought I'd try this. I ran today for the first time in several months.
Time: 12:01:53 for one mile. I gotta start somewhere...

Fourth of July
We spent July 1-4 at the red, white, and bluegrass festival and it was wonderful! This was the first time we actually attended the entire festival and I hope that we continue to do this each year.

Day in the Park
We had our annual Day in the Park this weekend and it was GREAT! Mr. J was in charge of getting fire trucks for a fire truck parade! He did GREAT getting trucks from all dept's in the county, but I didn't get any pictures of it because I was working on h/w as it happened. But I did get some pictures of the things that happened during the day, including the kids playing, his t-ball team awards & the FIREWORKS!

Tweetsie
Today I took off work for half a day to go spend some time with my sweet beautiful nephews as they enjoyed a day with Thomas at Tweetsie. I don't think either of them are quiet crazy about Thomas just yet, but they seemed to have a good time. Of course I have TONS of pictures to post, some of which were taken by me and some of which were taken by my wonderful sister.

That's all for now...maybe I'll share some more later! We had such a great time!

Braves' Game
This past Wednesday (6/3/09), Mr. J and I drove down to Atlanta, GA for the Braves game! Mane what a trip! This was the second time that I had attended a game @ Turner Field (once when I was @ Newberry; I was part of the choir that sang the National Anthem before the game! VERY fun!). I wasn't very excited until we actually got to Atlanta and turned off 85 onto the Turner Field exit and I started seeing all things Olympics & Baseball! I started snapping pcitures of everything! But to spare you, i've not included those silly pictures; only the ones of fun things inside the stadium that pertain to the game! Enjoy!

It took me several times to actually get the tomohawk at each stage...I'm proud of the end result!

As we were leaving...I was kind of sad to be heading back home so soon!

Hopefully sooner than later we'll be heading back down to catch anoher game!
